Arema Blue Village, Being The Identity of Arema

MALANG CITY – Another thematic village was born in Malang. After Kampung Warna-Warni Jodipan and Tridi booming village, here comes Arema Blue Village. Like its name, all villages in Urban Village Kidul Dalem, District Klojen, is painted blue. The painting fund comes from CSR (corporate social responsibility) of PT Indana Paint, Decofresh paint manufacturer. Total CSR is Rp 1.5 billion.

Yesterday (6/2) the village was opened by Mayor of Malang Moch. Anton. “This village became an exciting new tourist destination,” Anton said on the sidelines of the inauguration yesterday.

In the inauguration was attended by Chairman of Regional House of Representative (DPRD) Malang Abdul Hakim, Malang Police Chief Town (Kapolres) AKBP Asfuri, District Military Commander (Dandim) 0833 Malang City Lieutenant Colonel Nurul Yakin, and State Prosecutor’s Office (Kajari) Malang Purwanto Joko Irianto.

Anton added, the existence of these thematic villages have a positive impact on the number of tourists who come to Malang City. This is also pushes the economic level of citizens. The presence of Blue Village shows an identity the city of Malang which has a soccer club Arema.

“So we make a special branding in Malang. There is, Arema Blue Village, “said this sugar cane entrepreneur.

Currently, the blue village is still in only two RW. There are RW 04 and RW 05. However, the blue color will be extended again to another RW in one village, he added.

Even so, the blue and the walls roof of the houses are enough to painting and show the identity of the village. On the walls of residents’ houses, there are a number of attributes and all the Arema’s identity. There are, the picture of the lion which is the symbol of Arema. There is also a photo of the Arema’s founder (Alm) Ir Lucky Acub Zainal and a number of players.

“It can be to remember the history of Arema here. And also there is a Gonzales photo (the ex Arema striker, Red), “said this man who PKB politician, pointing to Gonzalez’s photo.

The existence of this new thematic village, as well as a form of revitalization of slum village become healthy and clean village, said Anton. To attract the attention, this village is also designed to eliminate the impression of slums. As in Tridi Village and Kampung Warna-Warni Jodipan which used to have a slum image. The image has been change that slum village become clean and health village.

“People will not get bored. After came to Tridi Village, can come here (Arema Blue Village). Bored with Kampung Warna-Jodipan, you can come here,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of PT Indana Paint, Steve Antonius Sugiharto said, the CSR funds which he gave for the village amounted to Rp 1.5 billion. The funds are for the cost of accommodation, equipment, paint, and workmanship for three months.

“We working and finishing the Arema Blue Village for three months,” he said.
